No Good Deed Review
No Good Deed was released to box office on September 12, and it made an a ray of impression on the people who took the time to go watch it. The movie starts off with a news report that immediately catches the audiences interest. This report helps explain one of the main characters, Colin who is a escaped convict. The movie continues on to explain the life of a mother named Terri, played by Taraji P. Henson. Unexpected things happen and Colin is able to weasel his way into Terri’s home and later causes trouble for her and her two children. Terri and her kids are left fighting for their lives throughout the film.
In my opinion, the movie was decent and very suspenseful although, it did have some flaws. The movie jumped right into the action and suspense that is found in a thriller. As the movie continued it got kind of slow in some parts. The writers probably had good intentions, but they failed to reach the audience. The movie was good, even though it had those imperfections.
The main male character, Colin, is played by actor Idris Elba. His performance in the movie was very good, he was able to capture and portray every aspect and detail of his character and deliver it to the audience. Taraji P. Henson played the leading actress role of Terri and did a great job. Henson was able to fully commit herself in the role of playing a protective mother always trying to do the best for her children. The producers and directors did a very good job in choosing the actors and actresses to star in this movie.
The producers and the directors also did a great job with the music score. They were able to put suspenseful music when there needed to be and there was slow music when there needed to be. The lighting and film quality was good, but it looked more like a “made for TV” movie. The plot was also weak because the ending of the movie was predictable and you could tell they were just trying to add unnecessary suspense and drive to keep you watching the movie.
Overall, I would have to say that the movie was fairly decent, but I would wait to see it when it comes out on DVD or on Netflix. It is a good movie but it is not a “must see.” If you are ever bored one day or if it is on television then I would recommend watching it.
