Christmas 2016 Playlist
Christmas isn’t truly Christmas without some festive jams, so here is a list of some songs that are sure to warm you up this holiday season.
- “Baby, It’s Cold Outside” by She & Him: This song, featuring Zooey Deschanel, has a super old and classic feel that will bring you some vintage Christmas energy while keeping a modern feel. This duo is super cute and quirky, much like it’s female lead, and will aid you in keeping the Christmas spirit alive all throughout the holiday season.
- “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby: Christmas isn’t truly Christmas without timeless classics like this song. Listen to this oldie but goodie while decorating, hanging out with family, or while doing anything else to stay feeling holly jolly and whatnot.
- “Rockin’ Around The Christmas Tree” by Brenda Lee: This traditional Christmas song is so fun and spirited and sure to keep your festive energy levels up.
- “Blue Christmas” by Elvis Presley: Elvis had the perfect Christmas voice and a knack for making some jolly tunes, so this song written by the man himself should be added to every existing Christmas playlist ASAP.
- “Wonderful Christmastime” by Paul McCartney: This classic 80’s jam by none other than Sir McCartney is much different than the classic 1960’s psychedelic rock he was known for during his time in the Beatles, but it has remained a fun classic since it’s debut and for good reason.
- “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” by Michael Bublé: This talented guy has many notable works, but his Christmas album, “Christmas,” is so festive and will make your holiday season feel complete. This song is just one of many on his album that can be stood to listen to all throughout the winter season.
- “Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays” by NSYNC: Just JT’s iconic opening line of “Meeerry Christmaaas, Happy Holidaaayyys,” is enough to get your 90’s nostalgia flowing, and who doesn’t want a good throwback jam on repeat around the holidays?
- “Happy Xmas (War Is Over)” by John Lennon: Another classic Christmas song written by an ex Beatle, John Lennon (RIP) used his creative mind to write this song, signifying world peace promptly after the Vietnam war. The themes of Christmas and world peace coincide, so this is a great song to listen to if you’re really feeling that Christmas spirit.
