As part of the White Out game against Midway, the senior crew will be introducing new events for the seniors Thursday.
“It used to be that senior night was the last game of the season,” senior class sponsor Chrissy Boydstun said. “It’s kind of interesting to see it shift to one of the earlier games and making it a memorable night.”
Seniors can decorate and wear paper crowns, sashes and jeans to school. These can be cusomized in any way the student wants.
“We had seen on TikTok a bunch of people wearing Bruger King crowns and decorating it,” senior body president Eni Oodo said. “We thought it would be fun if all the senior had the opportunity to decorate crowns.”
Last Friday, seniors were allowed to bring their own supplies and decorate pre-made crowns in the library. Seniors can also make and decorate crowns at home.
“We just wanted to show out for seniors,” senior representative Makailah Moreno said. “Senior royalty—it’s like a senior day because you wear all of your stuff just showing off that you’re a senior.”
Senior denim and senior sashes are both projects for seniors to design at home. Senior denim can be worn throughout the year for different events.
“It’d be a good opportunity for us to wear jeans again,” Oodo said. “Instead of just wearing it one time, we could show off.”
Senior royalty is one of many senior events in the fall semester. More events will be announced on the senior website and the class social media. Upcoming events include Boo Bag for Halloween, Family Lunches and Tiger Tag.
“One thing that makes the senior events important is that it’s our last year in school,” senior Tony Trieu said. “Just celebrating and having this atmosphere before we go into college. I just love the enthusiasm everyone has.”
